CEBU CITY (January 11, 2023) — “Cebu is the home of endless possibilities.”
This was the answer of Kefaiah Al-zair, 19, that helped her capture the title of Miss Cebu 2023 at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino this night.
It was in response to the question “What is the single important tourism asset of Cebu City and how do you think it should be used to promote the city to potential tourists?”
“Not only do we have modern infrastructure, but we can also offer serene highlands as well. It is the people, the people are the highlight of Cebu because it is the foundation of the tourism aspect that we have, imbued with gratification and happiness. This is who we are as Cebuanos. This is the foundation of Cebu City.” she said.
Al-zair is a nursing student from the municipality of Sibonga in southern Cebu.
Cebu is the home of endless possibilities.

As Ms. Cebu 2023, she will be the face and ambassadress of Cebu City and would play a vital role in promoting the City’s tourism industry.
Earlier into the coronation night, she wowed the crowd in her purple evening gown with puffed shoulder-sleeve during the evening gown presentation.
Aside from the coveted title, Al-zair also bagged several special awards, including Best in Evening Gown, Best in Hinablon, Miss Pagcor Charity, and Miss Oro Galleria.
Al-Zair, who bested 11 other candidates, succeeded Ms. Cebu 2022 Quincentennial Gabriella Mai Carballo.
Completing her court were candidates Patricia Duenas (first runner-up), Corinthia Empe (2nd runner-up), Chynna Dorado (3rd runner-up), and Nina Daniel Illustrisimo (4th runner-up). #
