CEBU CITY (August 31, 2022) — Record officers and archivists from several provinces and cities of the National Capital Region recently concluded their “Integration of Relevant Legislation in the Establishment of a Comprehensive Record Management Program” training here in the city at Golden Prince Hotel last August 23 to 25.

In his message during the opening of the three-day activity, Vice Mayor Raymond Alvin N. Garcia, who was acting mayor that time, welcomed the visitors and stressed the importance of record management training, especially its relevance to legislation.

He greatly appreciated the participants’ effort to learn how to establish complete records through the passage of legislation, him being the Cebu City vice mayor and City Council presiding officer.

City Administrator Suzanne Ardosa also graced the event and delivered a message on behalf of Mayor Mike Rama, who was still in Canada that time for an official travel.

Mr. Joel Ocay, executive director and founder of the Philippine Association of Record Officer and Archivist (PAROA) handed a plaque of appreciation to Engr. Ardosa as a sign of the organization’s gratitude for the City Government’s support.
